| Penn School is a non-maintained special school for 11-19 year old students with communication difficulties located in the heart of the village. The school specialises in supporting children with communication difficulties associated with speech and language, Autistic Spectrum disorders and hearing impairment who may have additional physical or learning problems. The school exists to provide a rich and stimulating environment in which all members of the community are entitled to develop and work towards achieving their potential in academic, social and professional terms. | Iain Rennie Hospice at Home (IRHH) gives patients with life-limiting illness the choice to be cared for in their own home. IRHH provides 24/7 call-out specialist nursing care as well as support for family members from diagnosis to bereavement and beyond. The charity operates in the Chilterns, and needs to raise £6 million annually to meet demand for their services, all of which are offered completely free of charge. They rely heavily on public support to fund nearly 90% of their services. |
