Chiltern Open Air museum

Opening times: 10am-5pm (last admission 3.30 pm). 2010 season runs from 27 March to 29 October.
The Chiltern Open Air Museum is a 45 acre museum with over thirty restored buildings from town and villages around the area covering over 2000 years of history. There are historical events happening throughout the year including themes of Roman Centurion, Jacobite from 18th century England, medieval knight, or 'Dad's Army home guard'.

Wycombe Local History and Chair Museum

Set in beautiful grounds, and with exciting hands-on activities, Wycombe Museum is a great place to discover the fascinating and varied history of the district and the famous collection of Windsor chairs. Opening times: Monday to Saturday: 10am-5pm. Sunday: 2pm-5pm. Bank holidays: closed. Admission is free and there is a small car park with limited space available at the Museum. A selection of merchandise, including a wide range of books, can be found in the shop.

Opening times: 1st April to 28th October 2010 inclusive. Wednesday and Thursday: 2pm-5pm. Bank Holiday Mondays: 2pm- 5pm. See website for events throughout the year. Chenies has a house and gardens, a guided tour of the house, refreshments, a gift shop and art exhibitions in the Summer.

A National Trust property and country estate. Open daily for most of the year, once the home of Waldorf and Nancy Astor. It has spectacular landscape including various formal gardens with sculpture and statues, a topiary, and a parterre with breathtaking views. Part of the house is open to visitors at limited times. West Wycombe Park
Perfectly preserved 18th Century landscape garden, surrounding a Palladian mansion. Opening times: Grounds: Sunday to Thursday, April 1st to 30th August: 2pm-6pm. House and Grounds: Sunday to Thursday, June 1st to 30th August: 2pm-6pm
Hell Fire Caves
West Wycombe Caves, Church Lane, West Wycombe, High Wycombe, HP14 3AH
Opening times: Summer season: April to October, 7 days-a-week 11am-5.30pm. Winter season: November to March, Saturday and Sundays: 11am-dusk. Bank and school holidays: 11am-dusk. Last admission to the actual Caves is 30 minutes before published closing times. The Café and courtyard remain open until closing times.

Milton's Cottage was once the home of John Milton (1608-1674), one of England's greatest poets. It is now a museum of his work and times. The cottage is open daily from 1st March to 31st October on Tuesdays to Sundays: 10am-1pm and 2pm-6pm. Closed Mondays except Bank Holidays Fun for children
Bekonscot model village

Bekonscot Model Village and Railway is the world's oldest original model village in Beaconsfield, Bucks. There are six model towns, a huge Gauge 1 model garden railway, rideon railway, remote-controlled boats, castles, lakes and industries in 1.5 acres of award-winning gardens.
