Nearly 80 people packed the St Margaret’s Parish Rooms on Friday 19th May for the Society’s 13th Annual General Meeting.
The majority of the meeting celebrated the achievements of the past year and was devoted to the presentation by Penelope Tollitt, Head of Planning for Wycombe District Council.
Penelope focused on why Planning is so important to people’s lives and explained the difficulty of finding the right balance between the competing needs of house building, the protection of the environment and the infrastructure developments required to support progress.
She acknowledged that retaining the identity of a place such as P&TG is a critically important planning goal and said that WDC is intent on avoiding our villages becoming part of the urban sprawl of High Wycombe.
